Vikings special teams coordinator Mike Priefer talks about Friday's 'bad night'

Priefer explained the misses by rookie kicker Daniel Carlson, punts by Ryan Quigley and continued breakdowns in coverage

EAGAN, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings special teams' units had a tough night in the third preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks, one that has special teams coordinator Mike Priefer searching for answers.

Rookie kicker Daniel Carlson missed both of his two field-goal attempts wide left. Punter Ryan Quigley had six kicks for a 44.7-yard average and Minnesota again gave up another long return, which came back after a penalty on Seattle.
