Vikings coach Mike Zimmer talks about upcoming joint practices with Jaguars

Zimmer said he wants to see how teams practices against another good team, but doesn't want trash talk/fights

Ahead of their game at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota next weekend, the Vikings are hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars for two joint practices this week. Jacksonville will be at Minnesota's training facility, The Twin Cities Orthopdedics Performance Center, on Wednesday and Thursday.

Zimmer said he wants to see how his team practices against another good team. Jacksonville won the AFC South last year and advanced to the conference championship game where it lost to New England.

One thing Zimmer wants no part of is trash talking and fights as the Jaguars come in. The past week of Vikings training camp has been a bit testy and emotion always gets ramped up when two teams do joint training camp practices -- just look at the brawl between the Redskins and Jets this week.

Zimmer spoke to reporters Monday about what he's looking for as Jacksonville comes to town.

Two Jaguars won't be coming as the team reportedly suspended star cornerback Jalen Ramsey and defensive end Dante Fowler this week. Fowler reportedly was in a fight with a teammate during practices and Ramsey apparently had a tirade against the media in support of Fowler.

It will be the first joint practices for the Vikings since they went to Cincinnati in 2016.
