Needing more depth along the defensive line, the Minnesota Vikings signed defensive end Jonathan Wynn to the practice squad on Monday. In a corresponding move, Minnesota released linebacker Garret Dooley from the practice squad.
The Vikings also have linebacker Kentrell Brothers returning from his four-game suspension for testing positive for performance-enhancing substances. Brothers was reinstated last week after Minnesota's loss to the Los Angeles Rams, but the team has a special roster exemption for Brothers until Oct. 8.
The Vikings were without defensive tackle Tom Johnson on Thursday night against Los Angeles because of an ankle injury. Defensive end Everson Griffen is still away from the team while he deals with his mental health.
Wynn, an undrafted rookie out of Vanderbilt, was with Minnesota during training camp and was released on Sept. 1. He joins Stephen Weatherly as former Vanderbilt players on the Vikings' roster.
Dooley is an undrafted rookie from Wisconsin.
