Houston- The Houston Texans have labeled defensive end J.J. Watt as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns due to a left knee issue. Watt was on the injury report the entire week and was limited in practice all three days according to the teams injury report.
Expect Watt to be a game time decision when Sunday's game against the Browns arrive and he will more than likely test his knee out prior to the game with his position coach and team trainers. With the Texans operating on a short week due to the Monday Night football game, Watt will be looked at over closely so there are no longterm issues for the remainder of the season.
Against the Tennessee Titans, Watt was seen on the sideline mid-4th quarter trying to get loose favoring his left side.
The Texans have the chance to rest Watt if the knee remains a concern due to having edge rushers Jadeveon Clowney and Whitney Mercilus. Also, rookie Duke Ejiofor is set to return after injuring his shoulder against the Denver Broncos, which allows them to continue to run their defense accordingly without Watt if needed.
Also, wide receiver Keke Coutee is a game time decision with a hamstring injury, the same one he has been battling since training camp. Coutee had his game cut short against the Tennessee Titans despite catching two passes before his exit. Coutee has been a valuable target for Deshaun Watson in the slot this season but finding ways to keep him healthy remain an issue.
Watt and Coutee are the only Texans who remain questionable for the upcoming game against the Browns.
