Texans A&M tight end Jace Sternberger Meets with the Houston Texans at the 2019 NFL Combine.

The Houston Texans have met with Texas A&M tight end Jake Sternberger at the 2019 NFL Combine. The Texans are on hand for the week to get a closer look at players to start and iron out their draft profiles moving towards the NFL Draft. The Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson reported the meeting between Sternberger and the Texans.

At the weigh-ins at the NFL Combine, Sternberger checked in at 6-foot-4 and 251 lbs. He has 32 1/8 inch arms and 9 3/4 inch hands.

Starting his career at Kansas, Sternberger transferred to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M to get more playing time. After a successful season at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Sternberger transferred to Texas A&M.

Under new head coach Jimbo Fisher's offense with the Aggies, Sternberger caught 48 passes for 832 yards and 10 touchdowns. He averaged 17.3 yards a reception in 13 games. He declared for the NFL Draft after earning team MVP for his 2018 season.
