DEION SANDERS: In 1989, Sanders arrived late for his combine workout, ran one hand-timed 40 at a remarkable 4.2, then ran out of the Superdome and into a limo to go back to the airport. That's Prime Time.

LADAINIAN TOMLINSON: One of few stars to run at the 2001 combine, LT ran a 4.3 40, vertical jumped 40 inches and did 18 reps with 225 pounds to become the 5th player selected in the draft. He retired from as the NFL 5th all-time leading rusher.

MIKE MAMULA: Considered a mid-level draft pick prior to the 1995 Combine, Mamula ran a 4.58 40, had a vertical leap of 38.5 inches, a standing broad jump of 10.5 feet bench pressed 225 28 times and scored 49 of 50 on the Wonderlic test to shoot up the draft board. The Eagles made him the 7th player taken but he retired at 27 after six injury filled seasons with 31.5 sacks.

VERNON GHOLSTON: His 4.58 40, 37 reps at 225 and 41-inch vertical leap convinced the Jets to make him the 6th player in the 2008 draft. He had zero sacks in a three-year career.
