Ickey Woods didn't enjoy a long career in the NFL. Two knee injuries limited him to just 37 games over four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.
But no one celebrated his own successes on the football field like the Ickster.
In a vote of the Talk of Fame Network readers and listeners, the Ickey Shuffle was voted the greatest touchdown celebration of all time. Woods received 35 percent of the vote to outdistance Barry Sanders and his non-celebrations at 25 percent. Leroy Butler's Lambeau Leap garnered 20 percent of the vote, followed by both the Victor Cruz Salsa and the Terrell Owens Sharpie at 10 percent.
Sanders didn't shuffle, dance or spike the ball during his Hall of Fame career. He would casually flip the ball to the referee and then jog off the field. But our voters wanted a little more shake in their celebrations, so Ickey and his shuffle prevailed.
