Talk of Fame Network

The first of our annual three “Best of Talk of Fame Network’’ shows airs this week, with interviews with newly elected Hall-of-Famers Marvin Harrison, Tony Dungy, Orlando Pace, Brett Favre, Kevin Greene and Eddie DeBartolo.

But we didn’t stop there.

Former Indianapolis Colt and Arizona Cardinals' running back Edgerrin James and Washington Redskins’ “Hog,’’ tackle Joe Jacoby, also appear to discuss their Hall-of-Fame credentials and whether either believes he will be enshrined in Canton.

James makes clear his firm belief that he did enough to earn a coveted gold jacket, while Jacoby was thankful just to be remembered once again two decades after his retirement.

Jacoby was a four-time Pro Bowl performer on three Super Bowl champions. He was also a member of the NFL’s 1990 all-decade team. James twice led the NFL in rushing on his way to finishing as the 11th leading rusher of all-time with 12,246 yards. He was a member of the NFL’s 2000s' all-decade team.

Harrison expressed his pique at a contemporary of his, Terrell Owens, who complained when Harrison was elected that he was more deserving. Among his comments, Harrison said he couldn’t care less about someone “in his rear view mirror.’’ Harrison's Talk of Fame Network interview is his only one since being elected to the Hall ... and it is the definition of a “hot take.’’

Scalding hot.

Not to be missed as well was Favre, whose humor, grace and fun-loving nature all are made clear during his lengthy interview with the TOF Network.

This is the first of three “Best of Talk of Fame Network’’ shows and can be heard on 80 radio stations around the country, on our podcast at iTunes or by going to either the TOF app at TuneIn Radio or our website, talkoffamenetwork.com, where you can click on the icon.
