Releasing Josh Norman would make no sense unless Redskins tanking

There's been a lot of talk recently, but here's why the move doesn't hold water.

In our latest Redskin Maven video, K.D. Drummond discusses why the scuttlebutt about Washington using the June 1 cap relief rules to jettison Josh Norman doesn't make much sense. An explanation of how the rule works, and why Brandon Scherff's extension doesn't necessarily need Norman's cap space.

I think last year was an aberration and Norman will bounce back. Nobody played wel, especially after Alex went down.

Yeah, I wouldn't be too upset if they did cut him. Washington probably isn't going to win big this year, and the cap space can be rolled over into next season.

Norman hasn't been the same the last couple of seasons. He gave up 8 touchdowns last season, most of any corner in the league.
