At first glance, it seemed that one-year worth $14M looked to be a lot of money to give Dante Fowler in order to bring him back to LA.
Luckily for Rams' fans, more details emerged on Tuesday morning that paint the contract in a much more flattering light.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the contract includes $12 million guaranteed with $2 million in incentives. Sure, it is still $14M, but that change in the base salary frees up space that the Rams' front office can use elsewhere.
After the movement made by GM Les Snead and Co. throughout the first two days of free agency — which admittedly has been sparse — the Rams have $17.38M left in cap space.
With the FA period *officially* starting at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, expect LA to start filling out their locker room soon.
