ATLANTA – Ty Law has been a finalist for three straight years and now he hopes that the third time is charm as far as his chances for getting in the Hall of Fame. Law has an endorsement from his former teammate. Tom Brady called Law a "pain in the ass" and said that Law always capitalized on Brady's mistakes in practice.
“Ty was an incredible player,” Brady said Thursday. “I got to the team and he already established himself as one of the top players in the league at that position. Obviously, have Michigan ties. I knew a lot about him. He was an incredible player for our team and went onto some other teams and was their top corner. I played against a lot of great corners over the years and Ty is up there with the best.”
Bill Belichick also endorsed Richard Seymour for the Hall of Fame saying that Seymour and Vince Wilfork were the best linemen he ever coached. Belichick noted that Seymour could play anywhere on the line and had the versatility to play the 3-4 and the 4-3 defense.
“Richard Seymour was unquestionably one of our key players and I do not believe we would have won three championships without him,' Belichick said.
