The New England Patriots are in talks with linebacker Jamie Collins about a potential reunion, which is deemed likely to happen, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
Collins was drafted in the second round by New England in the 2013 NFL Draft. He last played with the Cleveland Browns, who traded for Collins in 2016, before being sent off into free agency this offseason.
Apparently, the Patriots and Browns had discussed a trade last season that would have sent Collins back to New England, according to Mike Giardi of NFL Network. Chances are New England knew Collins would be entering free agency this year and they wouldn't have to give up as much capital to get him in the offseason.
