(AP) He will have surgery on Sunday and will be coaching from a cart during Friday’s OTA practice and the team’s June minicamp.
LaFleur’s hands-on style put on hold In his first months with the Packers, one of the things that has stood out about the 39-year-old LaFleur’s approach is how hands-on and interactive he is, particularly with quarterbacks.
Though he has a quarterbacks coach (Luke Getsy) and offensive coordinator (Nathaniel Hackett), Green Bay Press-Gazette columnist Pete Dougherty noted last week that LaFleur seems to be doing those jobs in spring camps.
He’s talking to the quarterbacks between snaps, gesturing to Aaron Rodgers, Tim Boyle and DeShone Kizer as they learn the differences LaFleur’s offensive system has compared to Mike McCarthy’s.
LaFleur has also been in the quarterback meeting room, with Getsy and Hackett, making sure every detail is addressed.
