Nate Solder undergoes minor arthroscopic surgery

Giants starting left tackle will miss the remainder of the offseason program; hopes to be ready for training camp.

Giants starting left tackle Nate Solder underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle earlier this week to clean out some bone spurs, a source said, confirming a report by the NFL Network.

Solder, entering his second season with the Giants, will miss the rest of the team's off-season program, with an eye toward being ready for the start of training camp in late July.

Last year, Solder played through assorted injuries but did not miss a game after signing a four-year deal worth $62 million.

The Giants begin their OTAs on Monday.
