Giants sign draft picks Ryan Connelly and Darius Slayton

Giants now have half their draft picks under contract

The Giants announced they have signed their two fifth round draft picks, linebacker Ryan Connelly and receiver Chris Slayton, to their rookie deals.

The signings of Connelly and Slayton leaves five draft picks--quarterback Daniel Jones, defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, cornerbacks DeAndre Baker and Corey Ballentine, and edge Oshane Ximines--unsigned.

The Giants also re-signed defensive tackle John Jenkins, who had been a free agent. Jenkins was awarded to the Giants off waivers from the Bears last Sept. 4.

Jenkins, originally a third-round pick by the Saints, appeared in seven games, recording a quarterback hit last season.
