Breaking: Odell Beckham Jr Ruled Out Sunday vs. Washington

Giants star receiver is the only player to not make the trip to Washington.

Well that certainly came out of left field.

"That" references the Giants announcement that star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. would not be making the trip with the team to Washington head of their 1PM meeting with their division rivals Sunday.

Beckham apparently suffered a bruised quad in the Giants loss to the Eagles two weeks ago, an injury that no one outside of the team knew of until Friday when Beckham suddenly showed up on the injury report.

Even then, he was listed as a limited participant in practice, with head coach Pat Shurmur reassuring reporters that Beckham, who played last week against the Bears, would play.

The Giants held a walk-through practice before boarding a train for Landover, MD, where Washington plays. In a team-issued statement announcing the receiver having been downgraded from PROBABLE to OUT, the Giants said, "It was determined this morning he would not play in (Sunday's) game."

Do coaches always lie and deceive about injuries because of the gambling on the games? I find this practice of misleading the public ( which is pretty much universal ) demeaning and disrespectful to the fans. I lose respect for the coaches.
