Former California wide receiver Demetris Robertson announced that he is transferring to Georgia in a YouTube video on Saturday.

Robertson, who is listed at 6-foot and 190 pounds, selected the Bulldogs over Alabama, West Virginia and Texas.

The Georgia native spent the past two seasons with the Bears before announcing over social media in June that he was leaving the program due to personal matters.

“Due to personal matters, I’ve decided not to continue my education and football career at UC Berkeley,” Robertson wrote at the time. “I would like to thank my coaches, teammates, staff, student body, and so many others for their ongoing support and consideration of my personal matters. I know I will always have the support and love of my Cal family no matter what.”

Robertson had seven receptions for 70 yards and two runs for 40 yards and a touchdown in two games last season before undergoing surgery on his lower body.

He had 50 catches for 767 yards and seven touchdowns as a freshman in 2016 under then-head coach Sonny Dykes.

Robertson ran track for California in the spring of 2017, posting a season-best time of 10.72 seconds in the 100 meters and competing on the Bears’ 4×100 relay team. At a high school football camp in 2015, Robertson was timed in 4.34 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
