Former Arkansas State running back Chauncey Mason transferred to Florida Atlantic, multiple media outlets reported on Thursday.

An FAU spokesperson confirmed the addition of Mason, per collegefootballtalk.com.

Mason will have to sit out the 2018 season and will have one year of eligibility remaining.

The 21-year-old Florida native rushed 27 times for 137 yards in eight games last season, good enough for fifth-best with the Red Wolves. He also had two receptions for 15 yards and returned seven kicks for 129 yards.

Mason is the younger brother of former St. Louis Rams running back Tre Mason, who now plays with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.
