A Message From The Publisher

Was that another fun draft?

We have plenty more analysis as players go to camps and even into the season, but hope you enjoyed the 2018 NFL Draft.

This was the 32nd for NFL Draft Scout (aka NFLDraftScout.com) and 52nd for me, going back to days with Hearst Newspapers and the first AFL/NFL combined lottery. We watched this event soar from being ignored during 17 rounds in a single day to the current, full red carpet overkill. It’s great to see the moms and families share the joy.

And It is still exciting to ponder possibilities for prospects who will become the new blood of our great game.

We especially thank our many loyal viewers who followed NFLDraftScout.com from our temporary home at CBS the last decade, and before that with NFL.com, FOXSports.com, USAToday.com and others.

As a reward, NFLDraftScout.com will now expand multimedia coverage on its new home with the incredible Maven collaborative of hot, must-see publishers.

We congratulate our staff, including draft savant Brian Hitterman, analysts Dane Brugler and Rob Rang, and administrators Anthony Gimino and Howard Balzer. My son and partner, Jon, did his best to put tons of insight and foresight into its new home with Maven. Tight fit, but we will grow together.

They multitasked well – at once putting up with my intrusions while again creating one of the most credible draft products in the country. According to data kept by The Huddle Report, NFLDraftScout.com connected on 85 of the top 100 prospects drafted, marking the fifth consecutive year with at least 80, a feat accomplished by only five others. Rang also finished among the best in his final mock draft and with own 85 out of 100 top picks, with Brugler close behind.

NFLDraftScout.com will follow these selected players—and undrafted free agents – all the way through their rookie year.

Simultaneously, Hitterman will turn over his calendar and load up more than 3,000 prospects for the 2019 draft, then Rang, Brugler and Gimino will track them through the college season.

So keep coming back and we will keep you updated.

Thanks,

Frank Cooney

This is by far the best NFL Draft analysis on the internet, I go back to the early 2000’s with these guys. Their rankings are spot on from players sophomore season to Sr so you can get a real good understanding of what’s available in future drafts. Also, you can’t stump these guys ... if the player exists he’s in their system.
