2018 Draft: Each team's good, bad and . . . surprise pick

Each NFL Draft is preceded by constant questions, curiosity and chatter of all kinds. That continues after the draft as teams are complimented or cursed by followers who can understand some picks, but not others.

Here is a look inside the draft of each team as we point out the most obvious plug-and-play prospect, a pick who may surprise and that one selection that was a head-scratcher.

Only a few years ago running backs were falling into disfavor in the pass-happy NFL. But, with help from recent picks such as Ezekiel Elliott, the position is returning to popularity.

In fact, the New York Giants' No. 2 overall pick, Penn State's Saquon Barkley, is one of five running backs declared as best plug-and-play candidates among the 32 teams. Another, Louisiana Tech's Boston Scott, selected 201 overall by the New Orleans Saints, is listed among those draftees who will surprise.

And then there are the head-scratchers. Opinions vary widely on this one, so check out the nominees by insiders covering each team and make your own decision.
