LB SEAN LEE was limited in practice on Thursday. Lee left the Giants game with tightness in his hamstring. Garrett pointed out in subsequent press conferences that Lee did return to action on an onside kick play. The coach added that in a closer game, Lee might have been on the field. Instead, first-round draft pick Leighton Vander Esch upped his number of snaps and finished with 7 tackles, all solo.
DE RANDY GREGORY went through the full practice on Thursday. He didn’t play against the Giants after entering the league’s concussion protocol in the season-opener versus the Panthers.
WR COLE BEASLEY was limited in practice on Thursday with an ankle injury.
S XAVIER WOODS was limited in practice on Thursday. Woods hasn’t played in the first two games due to a hamstring injury.
S KAVON FRAZIER went through a full practice on Thursday despite a shoulder injury.
DT DANIEL ROSS went through a full practice on Thursday despite a wrist injury.
DT MALIEK COLLINS didn't practice on Thursday. He has an apparently minor knee injury, but was limited to 1 tackle versus the Giants.
DT DATONE JONES went through the full practice on Thursday. He hasn’t played yet this season due to a knee injury.
C TRAVIS FREDERICK was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome in August. He has been undergoing treatment for the condition and was not put on injured reserve, clearing the way for him to return before Week 8. Frederick has said that there is no set time table for his return to the field and that his status could change on a weekly basis. He hasn't practiced this week. Joe Looney stepped into the starting lineup in Frederick’s place in the season-opener.
