FRIDAY INJURY REPORT: Beasley on schedule to play

The 'second bye week' following Thursday night win over Saints helped shorten Cowboys' wounded list.

In an interesting trend, the Cowboys' injury report is getting shorter lately. Randy Gregory and Taco Charlton, mainstays of the injury report as they battled minor setbacks, have been taken off the list, as has linebacker Joe Thomas.

Of particular note this week, Cole Beasley's sprained foot looks like it might not keep him out of action on Sunday against Philadelphia.

Here's the rest:

WR Tavon Austin did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday with a groin injury. He missed the last six games and is probably out again this week.

CB Chidobe Awuzie did not practice on Wednesday with an illness, but he was back to full work on Thursday.

WR Cole Beasley sprained his right foot against New Orleans. He was limited in practice on Wednesday, but went through full practice on Thursday.

DT Maliek Collins left the Philadelphia game with a knee injury. He has played in the last three games and went through a full practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

DL David Irving left practice five weeks ago with a high-ankle sprain. He hasn’t played the last five games and didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday.

LB Sean Lee missed the last five games with a groin injury. He didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday.

RG Zack Martin came out of the Philadelphia game with a knee injury, but returned to the game. He played in the last three games and went through a full practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

OT Tyron Smith didn’t play against Washington or New Orleans with a neck injury. He went through a limited practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

LG Xavier Su’a-Filo tweaked an ankle in the win over Washington and was inactive against New Orleans. He also has a thumb injury. He went through practice in limited work on Wednesday and Thursday.

TE Geoff Swaim suffered a wrist injury against Atlanta. He hasn’t played in the last two games and didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday.
