Week 16: Wednesday injury report

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Chiefs list seven players on the initial injury report ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

And the report has good news.

Wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas put in a full practice for the first time since sustaining a concussion in Week 11. The second-year pro has missed four straight games, but could be on track to play barring a setback.

Guard Jeff Allen, who has missed two straight games with an ankle injury, also put in a full practice, as did tight end Travis Kelce (groin).

Running back Spencer Ware (rib) put in a limited practice.

Not practicing for the Chiefs are safety Husain Abdullah (concussion) and outside linebackers Justin Houston (knee) and Tamba Hali (thumb, knee).

Hali underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a broken thumb suffered in Week 15, but hasn’t been ruled out for Sunday’s game.

“We’ll just see day-to-day here how it goes,” coach Andy Reid said. “Because he had surgery doesn’t mean he’s just out.”

The Brown list 12 players on the initial injury report, including starting center Alex Mack (calf) and left tackle Joe Thomas (knee) as not practicing.
