Chiefs Head to Pittsburgh to Take on a Familiar Foe

The Chiefs take on the Steelers on Sunday with a chance to take an early lead on another AFC playoff contender.

As the Chiefs get ready to head to Pittsburgh on Sunday there are plenty of questions regarding this game. Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell has still not reported to the team so he will not be playing on Sunday. James Conner took his place against the Browns and played well. The Chiefs however will present a different problem for the Steelers and Conner as they have a better defense than the Browns. If Kansas City can slow down the Steelers rushing attack it will put more pressure on the passing game.

Normally, putting more pressure on the passing game against this Chiefs defense wouldn't be a good situation. Right now, however, Big Ben has yet to practice for the Steelers this week. He will still likely play on Sunday but if he doesn't they will head into the game with second year QB Joshua Dobbs as the starter. If Dobbs starts it will be much harder for Pittsburgh to keep up with the Chiefs high scoring offense.

The Chiefs have an opportunity on Sunday to put themselves ahead of another AFC playoff contender with a win. With a game against the Jaguars on deck and the Patriots soon to follow if Kansas City can win at least three of the four games they will be close to controlling the field in the AFC. Not to mention if they find a way to win at Pittsburgh and at New England they will have won their three biggest road games. A lot will be determined over the coming weeks but Sunday the Chiefs have the chance to step onto the center stage.
