— The Chiefs take on the Tennessee Titans Saturday without defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches, but wide receiver Albert Wilson will suit up for the Wild Card playoff round.
Nunez-Roches left last week’s game against Denver with an sprained ankle and the team listed him as doubtful heading into this week’s game. Wilson continues battling a hamstring injury, and was listed as questionable against the Titans.
Running back C.J. Spiller and defensive lineman Stefan Charles, who joined the team this week, are also among the inactives but wide receiver Marcus Kemp will play. They replaced wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas, running back Akeem Hunt and cornerback Phillip Gaines, whom the team placed on injured reserve this week.
Kemp expects to see significant time on special teams. The injuries to Thomas and Hunt deprive the Chiefs of two top special teams players as well as their top two kick returners. Running back Charcandrick West and receiver Demarcus Robinson appears the top candidates to return kickoffs. However, the Chiefs could elect to put receiver Tyreek Hill back at kick returner.
The Titans declared running back DeMarco Murray out for the Wild Card game on Thursday. The Titans do not list any other starters among their inactives.
