The Chiefs own their first losing streak of the 2018 season, dropping the last two games and three of their last five. But the club still has their immediate goal in front of them. With a win on Sunday the Chiefs can still clinch the No. 1 seed in the playoffs and home-field advantage. With a loss they could fall to as low as the No. 5 seed and face a road trip in the Wild Card round.
Each week several analysts from around Kansas City and the NFL prediction how they think the Chiefs game will end up on Sunday.
Ryan Tracy – 11-4 – Chiefs use week 17 as a tune-up for the postseason. Offense gets back on track in a big way. Eric Berry sees more playing time and Chiefs end the regular season with a win. Chiefs 34, Raiders 24
Mark Schofield – 13-2 - Chiefs have too much to play for to suffer a week 17 collapse. Chiefs 34, Raiders 17
Carrington Harrison – 11-4 - Oakland is playing better football of late and I’m not sure if the Chiefs still have “blowout” potential in them. I think Oakland is coming in looking to play spoiler and it will be a hard fought divisional game but won’t be enough as Mahomes and the offense is just too much. Chiefs 31, Raiders 24
Seth Keysor – 11-4 And we all start to calm down at least a little bit. Chiefs 41, Raiders 24
Matt Derrick – 9-6 - If the Chiefs don't come out angry and ready to lay the lumber on Sunday, when will they? Sure, the Chiefs have made the playoffs but they must have home-field advantage to have any reasonable postseason aspirations. Not putting this game away with an explanation point sends a bad sign for the postseason. Meanwhile the Raiders just won their Super Bowl in an emotional likely farewell home game in Oakland. Andy Reid doesn't want to mess around this time, so expect the Chiefs to pour it on early and never let up. The defense should even make an appearance and get on the board as well. Chiefs 45, Raiders 13
Reagan Creswell – 11–4 - Mahomes tops 50 TDs for the year, Kelce and Hill both reach the records they are chasing. Benjamin catches his first TD as a Chief. Chiefs 34, Raiders 27
Mike Renner – 10-5 – Chiefs 44, Raiders 17
Chris Clark – 11-4 – This team has not played over the past couple of weeks and it’s not a good time for a slide. Luckily the schedule helps out and the Raiders are coming to town. Don’t get me wrong the Raiders are definitely going to be looking to ruin the Chiefs season but I can’t see this team losing a third straight game. Chiefs 41, Raiders 24
