Four Keys for the Chiefs in Gameplan Against Cleveland Browns

With Anthony Hitchens nursing bruised rib, pressure falls to rookie Daniel O'Dorian, Ben Niemann to slow Browns run game

The Chiefs travel to play the imploding yet dangerous Cleveland Browns in Week 9 as Patrick Mahomes together with Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins and Kareem Hunt face a defense featuring ferocious playmakers in defensive end Myles Garrett and cornerback Denzel Ward.

The Chiefs defense must tangle with rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield, whose ability outside the pocket may rank second only to Mahomes. Edge rushers Dee Ford and Breeland Speaks will have opportunities against the Browns offensive tackles. Running back Nick Chubb brings the Browns rushing attack to a new level, particularly when running off right guard and right tackle. Linebackers Reggie Ragland, Ben Niemann and Dorian O’Daniel will have to stop Chubb until the Chiefs can build a lead.
