COSTA MESA, Calif. -- Los Angeles Chargers defensive tackle Corey Liuget will miss the first four games after being suspended by the NFL for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs.

--Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson will be part of the Chargers' broadcast crew this season. He replaces former Charger Nick Hardwick.

--The Chargers have joint practices scheduled with the New Orleans Saints on Aug. 22-23 at their facility, the Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Costa Mesa, Calif. The workouts are open to the public.

--Many eyes will be on cornerback Jason Verrett after he played in just five games the last two seasons with a knee injury. Verrett made the Pro Bowl in his last full season in 2015. "The way he's working out and the way he's practicing, he's in a really good place right now," said defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.
