Dan Bernstein agrees with what I said yesterday. It almost seems they ranked Cutler so low just to attract attention to this list. Dan Pompei and Don Pierson know what they're doing, but I have to wonder what was behind that 85th pick. And the most ridiculous things about it were they put both Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery ahead of him on the list. Two guys dependent on Jay for whatever they got, and Cutler piled up the big numbers despite having to deal with ineffective offensive coordinators not like Dowell Loggains, Aaron Kromer, Mike Tice and washed up ones like Mike Martz and Ron Turner. Cutler has his problems, but to be ranked behind Me First Marshall and Mr. Terminal Soft Tissue Injury Jeffery is the ultimate slap in the face.

Cutler always had people who made excuses for him but in his defense I rarely heard him making excuses. But I think the reason for that was he really just didn’t care about anything very much
