The Bears have gone through the initial formalities of preparing for 2019 with the signing of 10 players to reserve/future contracts.
Almost all have been with the team on the practice squad in the past, including running back Ryan Nall, who finished second in the NFL in rushing during preseason with 223 yards.
Tanner Gentry, who had three regular-season catches for 35 yards in 2017, was among those signing.
The others were offensive lineman Dejon Allen, defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson, defensive backs John Franklin III, Michael Joseph and Jonathon Mincy, wide receiver Cyril Grayson and linebackers James Vaughters and Josh Woods.
Vaughters is the only one who wasn't with the Bears. He spent the last two seasons with the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL and had 11 sacks and 50 tackles. He was in camps with the Packers, Patriots and Chargers in the past.
His Calgary teammate, linebacker Jameer Thurman, signed a reserve/future contract with the Bears last week.
